2008-2009
Consumer Price Index (CPI)
Pursuant
to N.J.S.A. 18A:39-3, the maximum negotiated Consumer Price Index (CPI)
increase in transportation contracts for the 2008-2009 school year is
2.89 percent. The increase is calculated on the full cost to the Board
of Education at the end of the current year for those items included in
the original bid. In addition to the CPI increase, renewal contracts may
also increase according to the adjustment provisions contained in the
original bid (such as additional mileage cost). If you have any questions
regarding these issues, please contact the Office of Student Transportation
at (609) 984-5757.
