5. Hold New Jersey Transportation Supervisor certificate or complete equivalent courses within eighteen months of employment

POINT PLEASANT BOROUGH SCHOOLS
BUS MECHANIC

Full Time Benefits Eligible Position

Under the supervision of the Director of Operations; perform repair and preventative maintenance of the bus fleet, cars, trucks and other motorized equipment. Prepare and maintain related records, and other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Minimum of four years of experience in automobile, truck and school bus repair
2 High School Diploma or equivalent.  Technical degree or certification in Diesel Mechanics or Automotive Technology preferred
3. Valid NJ Driver’s License
4. Possess (or be able to obtain) a valid Class B CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements
5. Criminal history background check by the Department of Education
6.Proof of citizenship or registration

ASSISTANT TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School diploma/equivalent required, college degree preferred.
2. Demonstrated success with staff/personnel interaction, human relations.
3. School transportation department experience preferred
4. Experience with transportation/logistics software as well as software packages from Microsoft, Google, etc.
5. Willingness to complete the New Jersey course requirements prescribed for Transportation Supervisors.
6. Ability to perform effectively in oral and written communication in all matters related to district transportation.
7. Ability to communicate with the school community on all matters related to pupil transportation.
8. Thorough geographic knowledge of Cinnaminson Township and surrounding communities.
9. A New Jersey Commercial Diver’s License (CDL).

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:
To assist the Transportation Coordinator in the operation of the Transportation Department and provide efficient and daily uninterrupted bus service to the students of the Cinnaminson Township School District.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 month Contract. Salary and benefits determined by recommendation to the Superintendent.  Overtime is not permissible.

EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with Board Policy and the evaluation procedures established  by the Administration, the Board of Education and State Law.

The District is seeking a qualified and experienced Manager of Transportation to oversee the daily operations of the transportation department. This position ensures the safe, efficient, and cost-effective transportation of students and supervises transportation personnel, routing, and fleet maintenance. Reports To: School Business Administrator / Superintendent

QUALIFICATIONS:

– Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
– Excellent driving record; five (5) year Driver’s Abstract required
– School transportation experience
– Knowledge of New Jersey laws and regulations related to pupil transportation and school bus operations
– Experience with personnel supervision, route scheduling, fleet maintenance, and cost containment
– Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
– Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
– Availability for on-site work, on-call responsibilities, and periodic overtime
– Successful completion of criminal history background check
– Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
– New Jersey residency or agreement to obtain residency within one year of employment

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Salary: $70,000
